What's the difference between a meetup, excursion, workshop and tour?

Jürgen conducts local photo excursions in the greater Boston, MA area through his meetup group and also through LocalCaptures. Please inquire if you need a custom excursion for yourself or your club or group. To share cost and the experience, the ideal group size is 4-8 people and no more than 12, but excursions can also be done for individuals.

This is a two part workshop with the first part being an onsite photo session to practice daytime long exposures at the designated location, as outlined during the presentation at the club on October 7. This leaves enough time to purchase recommended filters, if not already owned. During the photo shoot, Jürgen will rotate among attendees to provide assitance with setup, technical settings, composition and creativity.

Part two of the workshop is a Zoom session about 1.5 weeks later, where each attendee will upload 3-5 images taken during the photo shoot (instructions and Zoom link will be provided). Jürgen will give you feedback on technical aspects, composition and impact and then make suggestions on how to improve the image with live edits in Lightroom and maybe Photoshop. Jürgen will share his techniques, tips and tricks, explain them and also share Lightroom / CameraRaw features and shortcuts as needed. There will be work with masking and the repetitive nature of the edits will make sure that these techniques are easy to remember.

The workshop date is targeted for October 15, with a rain date of October 17, 3:30 to 6:30 to catch the golden hour and civil twilight. The review session date will be agreed upon at the presentation or by email, but target is Saturday or Sunday afternoon, October 25/26.

The tuition for this workshop is $75 per person. Jürgen will spend an equal amount of time per attendee (at least 20 minutes). Each registered attendee will get a free copy of the speaker notes, which are normally for sale on my Patreon page for $15.

Refunds will be issued if the workshop is canceled. Tickets are transferable.
